The Builder's Toolkit

For people who make things with AI.

For the past six months, I’ve been building in public—Chrome extensions, machine learning tools, agents, etc.—and writing about what I learn along the way.

And I’ve noticed that most of you aren’t just reading. You’re building, too.

92% of my subscribers are fellow Substack creators. Many of you are experimenting with AI, learning to code, and shipping side projects. You’re vibe coding your way through problems just like I am while learning about UX and engineering best practices.

So I built something for us.

This isn’t a paywall for content. All my articles are staying free. Instead, I’m offering workshops and community for people who want to make things with AI. (Plus whatever interesting software I manage to ship.)

What’s included

Workshops for builders

Live sessions most weeks, rotating between three formats:

  • Demo Days — Show and tell for your vibe-coded projects. Bring what you’re building, get feedback, answer questions from fellow builders. No polished pitches required.

  • BYOB (Bring Your Own Bug) — Stuck on something? Bring your intractable bugs and get advice from guest technologists who’ve seen it all.

  • Platform Workshops — Hands-on introductions to vibe coding platforms (Cursor, Replit, Claude Code, etc.). Different skill levels, sometimes with guest speakers who know these tools inside out.

All sessions recorded for subscribers who can’t make it live.

🛠️ Chrome extensions, apps, and other tools

Paid subscribers get free access to my tools (normally $15 each):

  • Future Scan — Search and analyze 130,000 arXiv papers on AI and machine learning. Updated weekly.

  • Substack Reader — Easily manage your Substack subscriptions*

  • Prompt Collector — Organize your prompts with tags and collections, access them in one click, and add v

    ariables for easy testing*

  • Substack Newsletter Audit — Get a comprehensive newsletter health check in seconds. Track metric closely linked to paid subscriber growth.

  • Carousel Bot (Coming soon) — A Gamma-like app for building LinkedIn carousels

Paid subscribers will get access access to all new releases.

*Free subscribers also get free access to Substack Reader and Prompt Collector

Why I’m doing this

Writing about building is great. But there’s something different about being in a room (even a virtual one) with people who are in the middle of their own projects, debugging the same weird errors, discovering the same aha moments.

I’ve learned more from five minutes of watching someone else’s screen than from hours of documentation. I want to create more of those moments.

Who this is for

✓ Substack writers experimenting with AI tools

✓ Developers learning to vibe code

✓ Curious builders who want to make things, not just read about them

Who this is NOT for

✗ People looking for polished courses or expert instruction (I’m a builder who documents what I learn, not a teacher)

✗ Readers who want access to articles (stay free—I appreciate you!)

Pricing

Standard pricing is $9/month or $65/year.
