It was pretty painful to work with...and the buggy export makes it pretty useless for client-facing work. (It does have a native presentation mode I ended up testing, which is OK.)
So I burnt ALL OF MY TOKENS in a single session because I was like "meh, I don't need this, might as well go crazy with it" and then I come across all of these amazing guides and your advice and now I regret it 🤣
Thanks Karen - your TLDR is what i needed. I'm a busy executive, and as much as I want to play every single day with these new things, I need to know where there's a good ROI for the energy and time. My TLDR from your TLDR (and article scan) is one day, but not now.
Absolutely. I've been testing it pretty extensively to see if it's truly a replacement for more opinionated design tools like Canva (and CarouselBot!), and my conclusion is "not for a while."
I feel like Claude Design is a beta at this point. I see where it can go, but it’s not there yet. Still very excited for what it means for the future🩷🦩
Two weeks of using it and I’ve blown through tokens both weeks. I like the outputs aesthetically although I have had trouble exporting to PDF and retaining the page format - those fixes have wasted a lot of time and tokens. The design system is key.
One dubious honor I have from decades as a corporate cog is super sound PPT/Keynote skills.
I can bust out an 18 slide deck in 15m.
Thanks for doing this explore, at least I don't have FOMO. Yet.

When I first started working with Nano Banana I tried to see what kind of deck I could make with Claude + Canva connector.
It sucked. But Nanz Banz was great for presentation images/graphics.
Yes! I think 80% of presentations is pretty pictures + moving 90% of text to speaker notes.
Ugh yes. And it would be so like an LLM to overload a deck with words.

Bookmarked for future reference, thank you! ❤️
You’re very welcome! And, yeah, it just torches tokens! 🔥

💯 Lots of potential, but it’s unfinished!
